Let's Celebrate! UOI What an exciting week we've had preparing for Chinese New Year. The children have been practising extremely hard for their Chinese Dance for the Assembly. I have to say they put on a fantastic performance on the day. Not only have we been finding out about Chinese Celebrations but we were lucky enough to have Nobu Kun's Mum to come and talk to us about Japanese Celebrations. Language The letter in focus this week was 'b'.  The children made their own charts with things beginning with 'b' and also practised writing 'b' in their Jolly Phonics books as well as reading and writing words. UOI Delving deeper into our Unit of Inquiry, as a class we have been exploring different celebrations from different cultures. The children have been finding out about Hanukkah.  They did a wonderful job of making a menorah. We had our own celebrations in class this week too with ...
