Y1 (2019/2020)

Farewell Year 1! Hard to believe that the end of the school year has arrived, nevertheless it has. I have had such a wonderful time teaching Year 1, I'm only sorry the face to face time was cut short. However in the time we did have together, I got to know the students very well and I have wonderful memories of them. Each of the children has unique talents and personalities, so much so I could write a blog about each one but I shall limit myself to a sentence or two. Natasha Natasha always entered the classroom with a lovely big smile on her face. As such she set the tone for the day.  She helped make the Year 1 classroom a happy place. Thank you Natasha. Luffy Luffy's enthusiasm and excitement for learning is contagious.  Not only is Luffy a great student but also a great teacher.  I learned so many things from you Luffy. Thank you. Torch It wasn't difficult to find a picture of Torch smiling, as he smiles most of the time....

Blast Off! UOI This week we delved further into our space exploration and in particular investigated space shuttles. After watching a video on making a space shuttle from a plan, Moses did the most amazing job of making one.  I am super impressed Moses! Is there no end to the talent of the Year 1students?  Totally impressed by Junior, Jewoo and Torch's space shuttles.  Great job boys! Love the way we get to see the process from start to finish Torch1 Great job! Junior knows quite a bit about space shuttles. Impressive Junior! Wow!  It's nearly as big as you Jewoo!
