The children found this absolutely fascinating and quite a contrast from their own homes. A great time was had by all. Khung's Mum with Awa. Certainly appreciated Khung's Mum and Dad's help on the field trip. Thank you! A very excited Khung. Awa and Amelia enjoying a tram ride. One very happy Ichi. Chris, another happy passenger. The children also engaged in an activity of making a house and placing inside the house people and things which are important to them. Chris proudly shows off his house. Maths  Part of our focus this week in maths was odd and even numbers.  To consolidate what we have learned already about odd and even numbers the children had to sort the numbers and make number chains consisting of either odd number or even numbers. Khung shows off his odd number chain. Chris busy at work on his even number chain. Hugo extremely pleased with himself as he assembles his number chain. The children thoroughly enjoyed testing and sorting different materials into waterproof and non-waterproof. English The letter of the week was 'n'. The children showed their creativity with their beautiful 'night' pictures they produced. The class has also begun to read and write simple words. In the picture below, Tanat is looking for the same word in each of 4 columns. Lin...

As a class we have paired up with a Year 1 class in New York.  The children from New York sent a video asking questions about homes in Thailand.  We are planning to record our answers and also ask about homes in New York. A 'Before You Go,  What Do You Know', chart was introduced into the classroom this week to help the children reflect on what they had learned that day. English Linux illustrates a scene from the 'The Extraordinary Egg'. The letters of the week, this week were 'e' and 'n'. The children had the opportunity to examine a real ostrich egg before listening to the story 'The Extraordinary Egg', which they later illustrated. The sound ...
