Loving Learning!!!!!

Phonics

The letter of the week this week was 't'.  Children practised writing the letter 't', drew pictures of things beginning with 't' to put in their 'teapots'.  We also had great fun reading the story of 'The Enormous Turnip'.

Maths

This week the children were introduced to simple graphs as a way of recording data.  The children had to cut out basic shapes and paste them into the correct column.  With this activity the children not only learned about graphs but they also reinforced their knowledge of shapes and practiced their cutting skills.

UOI

This week the children have been learning about the sense of smell.
The children were blindfolded and then asked to identify a particular smell.
We had lots of fun with this activity.  Afterwards the children drew some of the things they could smell.

Assembly

The children have also been very busy practising their assembly item which they will perform on Thursday the 4th of October.  Parents are most welcome.
