Countdown

Countdown To End Of Year

The countdown is on towards the end of the school year.  One can't help but reflect on the year that has just gone.  It's extremely gratifying to see the progress the Year 1 students have made in every aspect of school life.  There has been a massive improvement in literacy.  At the beginning of the year the children could not read or write a single word, yet here we are now reading and books and writing sentences.  Well done Year 1!

UOI

The Year 1 students were further investigating natural resources.  In the pictures below the children are engaged in activity to find out what they know about natural resources.  They were required to answer questions about natural resources, such as, 'Will all natural resources last forever?'

Maths

Much of the maths activities this week were revising work which has already been taught.  Some of the activities included; investigating number bonds to 10 using the number balance, colouring in multiples of 2's, 5's and 10's and using a number line to add and subtract numbers up to 30.
