Celebrating Our Achievements
Conclusion of UOI
This week the Year 1 students hosted an Assembly, to celebrate their achievements, which have been many this term indeed!. The children demonstrated what they had learned by teaching the other students how to make various Chinese New Year decorations. They also made 'Empire Biscuits', for the rest of the students, as part of our celebration.

Assembly
To say I was proud of how the Year 1 students performed at the assembly is an understatement!
They put on a stellar performance! Not only did they teach the other students how to make things such as, Chinese lanterns and a Chinese handprint dragon but they sang and danced wonderfully at the conclusion of the assembly. Well done Year 1, you were amazing!

Next week we will begin a new Unit of Inquiry, 'All living things go through a process of change'. A discussion with your child about how they have changed over the years would be beneficial, particularly if accompanied by photos.
